Zoo Negara (National Zoo of Malaysia)

Zoo Negara

The largest zoo in Malaysia houses different types of animals from small to big animals. I have visited different zoos in Malaysia from Melaka Zoo, Taiping Zoo, Kuala Krai Zoo, JB Zoo, and KL Tower Mini Zoo, National Zoo in KL is still the largest and has more to offer, although I really enjoy Taping Zoo.

The last time I visited the national zoo was 4-5 years ago. Generally, it is still much the same as my last visits.

Upon entering, you will be greeted by the photographer (official photographer of the national zoo) to take pictures. They will then give you a number where you can view and buy the photos. (there is an upsell of the photo album/frame).

The seagull show is the event I never missed every time I visited National Zoo, but this time I feel the show is not as entertaining as in the past. The show was cut short and was not as interesting as before.

The Panda centre is a must-visit place in National Zoo. First time seeing the Pandas and the baby pandas live. The centre is air-conditioning and if not mistaken it was fully A/C for 24 hours to ensure pandas could survive and live comfortably, especially in the hot weather in Malaysia.

Prior to your visit, I advise you to buy the ticket online (Shopee) to enjoy some savings.

Will I return? Yes, but probably not so soon, perhaps the next 5-10 years as so far couldn’t see many changes and nothing new.
